I am an acupuncturist based in Loughton, Essex.
My first experience of acupuncture was in 2004, when I sought out an acupuncturist for fertility issues. Having experienced the positive effects acupuncture can have, I decided it was something I wanted to study further. I had to delay my studies as I fell pregnant. I went straight to college after my second child started school.
I studied acupuncture and naturopathy for 4 years with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London.
I was awarded “Overall academic and clinical results in Acupuncture” by CNM and I was awarded a special “Prize for Excellence in TCM Study” by ATCM.
After graduating I set up practice in Buckhurst Hill, Essex.
Post graduation, I volunteered in the North London Hospice acupuncture multi-bed clinic at Winchmore Hill for a year.
Besides my private practice, I also work at City College of Acupuncture . I initially assisted year 1 & 2 trainee acupuncturists in their anatomy, point location and practical technique classes, before being asked to lecture both year 1 & 2 anatomy & point location and year 3 business modules.
I have special interests in fertility, pregnancy & childbirth and pain management.
I have undertaken post graduate training in:
- assisted reproduction
- pain management
- Chinese herbal liniments for sports injuries
- Tui na massage
- sports taping
- Japanese Moxa
